| | You all can have your family sitcoms, your cued laughs, and your late-night stand up. I'll take my laughs fresh, witty, and with a side of music. Proclaiming themselves as "Formerly New Zealand's fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bondo acapella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo", Flight of the Conchords members Bret McKenzie (The Black Seeds) and Jemaine Clement (The Humourbeasts) have all those qualities and more. Within the past year, their comedic music acts have become the basis for a self-titled television series on HBO. But many would agree that their improvised live performances are far better than any pre-scripted television show could hope to be. To further prove my point, below are some links to provide a little taste of their live sets. Enjoy, but pay attention to the warnings I've labeled them with. |
